UV system installed to disinfect baggage at Kuala Lumpur International Airport
From Petaling Jaya, FreeMalaysiaToday.com reports Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) announced a new automatic ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system for baggage arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport to curb the spread of Covid-19 and other diseases. In a statement, it said UV bulbs had been installed in an enclosed tunnel within the baggage handling system to disinfect baggage automatically as they pass through the conveyor system. The ultraviolet system installed at KLIA to kill all pathogens found on baggage.“The UV radiation system is the latest initiative to ensure airport safety remains at the highest level,” it said.
