Nitride Complains Lite-On Infringing on UV LED Patent
Nitride Semiconductors Co., Ltd. brought a patent infringement action against Lite-On Technology Corporation, Lite-On Technology USA, Inc., Lite-On, Inc., and Lite-On Trading USA, Inc., in U.S. District Court in Waco, Tex. In the lawsuit Nitride complains Lite-On is improperly using U.S. Patent No. 6,861,270 , entitled “Method for Manufacturing Gallium Nitride Compound Semiconductor and Light Emitting Element” which is used in ultraviolet (“UV”) light-emitting diode (“LED”) technology.
