Chubb’s Federal Insurance Unit Will Move to Dismiss Los Angeles Lakers’ Lawsuit to Recover Costs of UV Light Cleaning Systems Installed at Staples Center Today & Agrees to Complete Briefing by July 1
Federal Insurance Company’s team of lawyers at O’Melveny & Myers LLP intends, as previously agreed, to respond today to the lawsuit filed by the Los Angeles Lakers, Inc., to recover, among other damages, the cost of installing HVAC systems with ultraviolet cleaning and air filtration at Staples Center. Federal Insurance disclosed Tuesday it intends to respond by filing a motion to dismiss. Additionally, the parties have agreed the Lakers will file any opposition to the insurer’s dismissal request by June 3 and Federal Insurance will have until July 3 to file a reply.
