CAO Lighting Sues Cree & IDEAL to Halt Alleged LED Lighting Patent Infringement
CAO Lighting, Inc., says Cree and Cree Lighting-brand LED lighting products infringe on U.S. Patent Nos. 6,465,961 and 6,634,770. CAO dispatched lawyers at Barnes & Thornburg LLP to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina last week to make Cree, Inc., and IDEAL Industries Lighting LLC d/b/a Cree Lighting, a company of IDEAL Industries, Inc., stop. CAO Lighting, Inc., is based in West Jordan, Utah, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the CAO Group, Inc. Cree appears to be based in Durham, N.C.
