Ultra-violet light halts drug use in public toilets
Senior Reporter Tom Mack at Leicestershire Live reports new ultra-violet lighting in public toilets in the U.K. are succeeding in preventing drug use. The new lights have been added to two sets of toilets in Melton town centre, where toilet cleaners had been reporting used needles and traces of blood after addicts have injected drugs. The police team for the area, along with Melton Borough Council, had the new lights installed.
