Plaintiffs Move to Consolidate CPAP Recall Lawsuits Arising from Degraded Philips Foam Seal Caused by Unapproved Cleaning Methods Like Ozone & UV Light
Lawyers representing plaintiffs in 16 lawsuits against lighting giant Koninklijke Philips N.V., Philips North America LLC, and related target defendants, as of July 14, 2021, ask the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to consolidate those and future cases and centralize them in one judicial district with one federal judge overseeing coordinated litigation. On June 14, 2021, Philips recalled many of its breathing assistance products.
