Magistrate Horan Will Attempt Confidential Mediation To Settle SETi & Mouser’s UV LED Patent Infringement Dispute
Magistrate David Horan in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas will convene a confidential mediation session on Tue., Oct. 13, 2021, in an attempt to resolve the patent infringement lawsuit filed by Sensor Electronic Technology, Inc., against Mouser Electronics, Inc. In his order directing mediation, Magistrate Horan observes “over 95 percent of all civil suits settle prior to trial” and he “encourages all parties to keep an open mind in order to reassess their previous positions and to find creative means for resolving the dispute.” SETi holds patents on certain ultraviolet light-emitting diode technology.
