Magistrate Duffy Declines Buergofol’s Invitation to Completely Block Contact with Dr. Stark
U.S. Magistrate Judge Veronica L. Duffy will permit Omega Liner Company, Inc., to talk to German inventor Dr. Kurt Stark who used to work for Buergofol GmbH. She rejected Buergofol’s argument that contact us improper because there’s a high risk Dr. Stark will divulge protected attorney-client information and other confidential material because he can’t be trusted and termination of his employment was unpleasant. Magistrate Duffy’s agreement is not without conditions she thinks appropriate under the circumstances.
