High UV Levels Trigger Alert

Orm Bunthoeurn of the Phnom Penh Post reports that the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology on August 17 issued a public warning concerning high levels of ultraviolet (UV) rays over the next several days. From August 18-24 between 10am and 2pm, it said, skin and eyes could be seriously damaged if exposed to direct sunlight for too long.
