FDA Moves to Halt Real Water Operations, Saying Ultraviolet and Other Sanitation Procedures are Sloppy, Unrecorded & Ineffective
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration sued to halt the manufacture and distribution of Re2al Water products and a proprietary E2 Concentrate by AffinityLifestyles.com, Inc., and its majority-owned Real Water, Inc., unit. The government says the products have been associated with five cases of acute liver failure in children. To manufacture E2 Concentrate, Real Water first processes municipal tap water by carbon filtration, reverse osmosis filtration, ultraviolet light filtration, and ozone filtration, and then mixes this processed water with potassium hydroxide, potassium bicarbonate, and magnesium chloride.
